Strengthened by God’s promises to fulfill the mission

Author: Jamila

My name is Jamila. My life has gone through many trials and difficult moments, but God has never left me. My faith has become the strength that guides my life.

In 2015, I began studying the Bible deeply. As I continued to learn the Word of God, my heart was transformed. In 2016, I decided to dedicate my life fully to Jesus Christ and follow His path. This decision was not easy. Because of my faith, I lost my parents and some of my relatives, but I chose to follow God’s calling and His command.

Even through pain and loss, God has given me hope, strength, and peace in my heart. His Word continues to encourage me every day. As it is written in Romans 8:35–39:

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?… For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers… will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Today I live in Kampala, Uganda, where I continue serving God. I speak Somali, Arabic, and English, which helps me connect with different communities.

I work closely with the Somali community, and I help lead a church in Kampala, especially among Somali refugees. I also support and help guide an underground church in Somalia, where believers gather secretly to worship God.

My mission is to share hope, faith, and the Word of God, especially with people who have suffered oppression and hardship. I always remember God’s promise:

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.”

I testify that God can give new life, strength, and hope to anyone who trusts in Him. No matter how difficult the journey becomes, nothing can separate us from the love of God.

God is faithful, and His love endures forever.

Family Cross-Cultural Transition: Preparing the Heart Before Suitcases

Moving to another country does not begin at the airport – it begins in the heart. Before packing suitcases come the goodbyes, the insecurities, and the quiet grief for what will be left behind. This text invites families to understand the inner journey that happens before moving to a new culture and shows how emotional preparation can transform the transition into a healthier, more conscious, and meaningful process.

Our Fragility Has a Purpose

If in our difficulties we can see God’s love, He will be enough. Follow the testimony of a sister in Christ who was born in Indonesia and, upon moving to Japan, to a different culture and facing an illness, realized she needed to deepen her intimacy with God.

Spain: A Cry for the Harvest

The reality of Christianity in Europe is an urgent wake-up call for the Brazilian church. While Islam has grown by 16%, Christianity has dropped by 9%. In Spain, only 1.6% of the population identifies as evangelical Christian.
